This is the first EP from Las Llagas, a crusty blackened hardcore band from Uruguay. In their own words, they initially started wanting to do a post-punk band which evolved quickly in this sludgier, heavy music. This EP is short but powerful, with two tracks “Peso muerto” and “Eucaliptos” really stand out by the more complex and mature composition and mixing. It is in this final track “Eucaliptos” that we feel the most the post-punk inspirations, building this sweet layered but still heavy music that makes my brain quiet.

The whole EP is really a nice piece of work and I recommend you to give it a listen. There is a lot of versatility and a lot of good ideas for a first EP!
