Shrinewitch is not new to ABMN as we already featured their previous release, Heathen Idolatrous, and if there is something we like that is bands returning, so obviously we welcomed the opportunity to feature their new release Songs of Power & Despair.

This is a release of raw yet melodic black metal continuing from where the band left off, but also evolving a bit towards a raspier sound with some hints of more classic heavy metal riffing and lead guitars which definitely gives reason to their use of the word “searing” in the description. Not one for the fans of polished, but who are we kidding, this is ABMN, we know you all like your metal rough and spontaneous. Well, here’s another treat for you.
