We wander again to a different frame of sound from the usual today presenting the premiere for VENUS – 426’s last effort named Causeways into the Night.

Packed into a 12-track body of work, the queer antifascist harsh noise powerhouse shows an immense evolution and develops into a concrete and more conceptual and thick atmosphere that will drag you into the suffocating context of space and cosmic horror, evoking an abstract storytelling within the wall of noise and electronic distortion where one could perfectly feel the oppressive void embracing you after a systemic failure as you head floating to the endless sea of stars surrounded by wreckage.

At least the first part of the album might suggest or translate into this concept after a solid intro with sampling of songs such as ‘Lost in Space’ and ‘The Noise in my Head’, delving into this overwhelming current of events and stepping into dementia and insanity showcased with a vibrating and stressing body or sound to then be twisted into a chaotic and gnashing amalgam of synthetic wails, turning the tone later opening for more distinct inspirations drawing from worlds of fiction such as Malazan (‘Anomander Rake’, ‘Bridgeburners’), inviting this way for a wide imaginative listening experience behind each song’s fog of sound and layers of noise.
