The hyperprolific A///Plague of Brazil is back with a brand new EP titled An Exit in Darkness!
This is an EP of a rough, dark, doomy black metal tour de force that keeps all the melodic sensibilities that one would expect from the more traditional sides of the genre. Do not be mistaken, however, this isn’t an EP for those who seek anthems. This is gloomy and steeped in sorrow. And we love it!
The lyrics here feel introspective, but with A///Plague outward antifascist and anarchist tendencies, it becomes increasingly clear that there is more lurking beneath the surface of these words. Just give this a read:
“Your idols can’t promise you a miracle.
They’re dragged into this strong light but there’s always an exit in darkness.
There are no mirrors but we have no eyes.”
