Today, we present the demo of a new solo project from the United States, created by Downe Vaine Lights. This self-titled release offers two tracks of lo-fi black metal, built around a contrast that actually works: memorable, almost clean riffs set against deliberately rough instrumentation and harsh, growled vocals.

Both pieces are genuinely raw and gritty, with one of them, “Giulinodimezzegra“, centred entirely on the execution of Mussolini. Despite touching on this historical moment, the project itself is clearly positioned on the left of the political spectrum.
