Review

Clones Of Sirius has returned to our channel, bringing their blackened death goodness, now with a split with fellow Brits Torkage!

CoS has been featured at ABMN with two previous releases, so we’re already familiar with their style of music. They have recorded this as a duo, but now have a full lineup, which means their continuous evolution towards brutality will likely become even more interesting and catchy.

Torkage, meanwhile, comes to us for the first time, with their then-single member O. surfing way much harsher and faster waves of a black metal ocean, similar to a certain pretty popular Swedish band, minus Nazi salutes. In fact, like the last song of the EP, “The Triumph of Spirit over Flesh“, states very clearly: “fangs bare, [they] know our prey (tyrants and fascists alike)“.

We are always happy to welcome bands that are both good AND outspoken to our channel, and ‘Follow the Wings Aflame‘ succeeds in both criteria!
