Review: Goblin Soap – Goblin Offensive (Full album, 2024) | Blackened punk

At times, there are bands which present you with such a complex mix of genres that you don’t really know what to expect. Goblin Soap is one of them! A mix of blackened hardcore, d-beat, and synth coming straight from a dungeon synth album, distorted screams, what do you say?

With three instrumental tracks, synths for the intro and “Ooze-tro“, d-beat drums, distorted and invasive guitars, and always this black metal tortured scream, they are really providing a mix you won’t hear every day, which isn’t without reminding raw black metal. Goblin Soap released a few weeks ago their first album Goblin Offensive, but some of the members are nothing but unknown to us, a member being also in Samara, which we covered two years ago. And to say the least, this first album really lays the foundation for a unique sound and experience. In the line of many other bands revolving around goblins, they provide intriguing yet interesting music, in this fantasy universe they are describing, which however specifies one important statement: “GOBLINS AGAINST TERFS“.

If you like dungeon synth, black metal, and weird yet interesting mixes, go listen to Goblin Soap and their first album Goblin Offensive!
