Today, we’re premiering the video of the song “Mental Kollaps” from Illvilja‘s newest album ‘Döden‘, which will be reviewed later this year!
Illvilja is a blackened crust band from Sweden producing deep and invasive music, with amazing riffs and a very high mixing quality. Along with their awesome cover art, the music video follows that graphic identity, with overlays of the band playing live and an everlasting spiral, which indeed suggests the “Mental Kollaps” that this song is about.
There is an art in mixing all those instruments, the repeated patterns on the guitar, the oppressive vocal track, and all instruments rolling over your ears to ensure you live this music, not only listen to it.
