As antifascists, we really don’t like using the word “supremacy” for obvious reasons, but sometimes you can’t avoid it, like when you are preaching polearm supremacy. Yeah, yeah, swords are cool and all, but mostly tied to nobles and being status symbols, and flails, although mostly a historical do look badass, but spears and polearms, ah, that’s how you win melee battles. And a Lucerne Hammer, being a polearm designed primarily to crush and stab through the expensive plate armour of knights and mercenaries, is just the right polearm to represent an antifascist black metal band, a can opener for cans full of aristocrats!
“Eat the rich, fuck the bastards, death to fascists” says theironmountain, the creative force behind this debut demo, and while short you can just feel the passion running through this release, with swift tracks of pure, unadulterated antifascist metal being the loud clang you hear when the hammer spike crashes through the bastard feudal lords bascinet. Maybe it’s time for today’s feudal lords to learn to fear the Lucerne Hammer‘s clang too.
