As the rich, healthy sons of capitalism try to change the human rights narrative from empathy, solidarity and community, to harm, exclusion and colonialist wet dreams, the people are waking up from the individualistic lethargy of the false welfare state they sold us, rising through protests, marches, humanitarian activism… Resistance! We are sick and tired of being manipulated by some blood sucking representatives of a corrupted and broken system.
So, as Synthema Occvlta – today’s upload – states: “Let triumph spring forth from our righteous indignation“.
The protagonists of the day are a newborn anarchist duo from Philadelphia presenting its debut self-titled EP, and serving as another example of why we shouldn’t judge an album by its cover (unless it’s AI, sorry not) or tag it musically by listening to one song only.
“Immortalized In Amber” is a short, straight-to-the-point blackened-death driven “welcome to the fight” starter. And, although they keep bringing tasty death metal riffing, you will see quite interesting developments on the following songs, touching several ramifications of black metal. From a more orthodox “Palais Ov The Craven One” mid song forward, to the tribal like ambient “Severance and the Binding Ties“, to a more melodic but still death metal thick “Shattered Wing“, to finalise with the gaze-y “Indouhyus“. Far from being as simple as described, these five songs come seasoned with a ton of details and vocals that adapt, evolve, and fit every second of the release.
Suppose you need to gather some rage for a protest – there is a big anti-Tr4mp scheduled in Philly and many cities across the states tomorrow – demo, or r10t (ooops) this EP is a great filtering method to convert your indignation into Resistance, because, in Synthema Occvlta‘s words, “we all deserve to live with dignity and freedom“.
They thought we forgot the power is in the people, but we are here to remind them otherwise!
