Review

The Coven of Lismoni from Montreal is a band undoubtedly rooted in black metal but it also reaches across the gap to reach other genres in feel and sound. Immersed in gothic cobwebs and vines, their debut self-titled single starts off with atmospheric metal sounds that might stem from black metal sound but will definitely remind people of the lamentations of several well-known atmospheric doom/death bands in feeling, before moving into old-school ritual ambient territory.

This release indeed signifies a band to watch out for, leaving us wanting for more, much more as two brief tracks and an intro are barely adequate to showcase what is prophecied to be a band of many faces and aspects. Tldr, this is great, but we want more, much more, please, pretty please.
