Review

Ever felt like your music library and list of cool artists are missing names from Armenia? Worry no more, we’ve got you covered today.

Released back in May this year, Xaytarak make today’s feature for the songs to wake up that mixed fear and fury for doomsday that inhabits our hearts, pounding by one of the most promising and well arranged works of crust and hardcore / d-beat of this year so far that we can tell of, with a balanced flavor of thrash adding crossover to the mix.

Over negativity and beyond being pissed off, the band from Yerevan, Armenia’s capital city, put on the table which was their debut, feeling like a classic rendition of Amebix, with plenty of bits with a sharper edge, leaning closer to the likes of Disclose, to call approximations by example.

Messages crystal clear, mostly in English and one in Russian (Nagota), in a 7-piece “long play” (in hardcore standards). An attack straight to the heart of the fascist creep, running wild everywhere, aiming at poisoning its roots: white supremacy, imperialism, colonialism, alienation in a capitalism-ravaged world caged in concrete walls, lined with all of its offspring.

In a canvas born from the chaos shed from bombs to international laws, Xaytarak offer the blade to cut off the fascists’ legs, starting to move the inner rage.
