Review

Culto del Ratto is an Italian project playing experimental technopunk. The music can be described as raw, even minimalist, but above all brutal. This brutality manifests itself both in the compositions themselves, where ears unfamiliar with hard techno may perceive some sounds as outright attacks, and the lyrics. But fear not! This is the true face of the underground! Any connoisseur of metal will soon recognize the beauty in this, because on an essential level, both metal and techno can be similar, as in this case. There is rhythm, there are sounds, there are hardcore vocals, it’s really good.

What more could you want? Well, maybe some good lyrics, and yes, there are, even though most of them are a very existential and depressing journey, but you can definitely find anti-capitalist content here. A song of despair and survival in a concrete hell, where weapons are manufactured in the city center, surrounded by poverty. And on top of that, there are three arrows in the project’s logo.

Siamo tutti antifascisti!
