Hailing from grim and frostbitten LA (their words but we stand by them) Enscorcelles are the solo black metal project of Luna from Putrescine and Calamitous Skies and describe themselves as stripped back, thrashy black metal but frankly, we think they might be selling themselves short. Not that it’s not deliciously thrashy (it is) and fundamentally a black metal band (they are) but there is definitely more there, like the excellent frantic lead work that steps out into Japanese burning spirits hardcore territories and bridging the gap between 90s bedroom black metal (complimentary) and Randy Uchida. 
We know that one person projects are not only common but also just as legit as multi person bands, but this is a case where we sincerely hope the band expands enough to play live cause this seriously deserves to be heard loud, in front of an audience, prederably in a basement or an old warehouse to go with the sheer “fuck off” energy they exude. One to seriously watch for.
