Review

Brodkant is a primarily crust-punk band with a subtle influence of black metal, most notably in the drums. ‘Rise of Hellcimex‘ is their first EP, featuring a cover of Dishammer.

No time to linger in nice melodies or intros, they really embody the spirit of punk, very short and blasted songs, lyrics shouted, raging drums and guitars. I really love their cover of “Under The Sign of the D-Beat Mark”, which is way more brutal and black-metal-ish and really brings a new taste to that old song.

If you like DIY, punk anarchism, and you want to listen to music that smells like your local squat, Brodkant is your band! No worries on the politics, we had covered already one of the other bands from the person behind Brodkant, and they released everything with their punk collective Ruptura Punx!
