Today, we present the work of three friends from Switzerland who, driven by their passion for black metal and their shared anti-capitalist and antifascist views, gradually found themselves spending more and more time in the studio. As Darben themselves explain, that passion is the core of their music.
Their sound carries the spirit of the early second wave: fast, riff-driven, relentless in its drums and bass, with harsh vocals that channel their frustration with capitalism and patriarchy. The songs address themes such as the need to dethrone the rich, the madness of social media, the ongoing healthcare crisis, and even draw on a text by French writer Grégory Salle about luxury yachts.
