Some people complain that black metal has become “too complicated” and you get all sorts of sounds nowadays that sound nothing like the genre’s founders, but you know what, for us, it’s a feature, not a bug.
You know how we like our black metal? Not boring. So if Ultisol rubs you the wrong way for playing what we call “entheogenic black metal“, well, bummer, the rest of us are damn excited cause their quirky atmospheric sound is awesome. Almost the inverse of dungeon synth bands who try to sound grim and black metal, here we have a band emulating in feeling the more psychedelic paths of synth but doing it as black metal.
