Today we bring not one but two official video clips to introduce you all to Witchden! They are a US-based quintet that has recently released their fourth full-length: Tomes of Madness Volume 1.

As a brief example of what you will find on TOMVI‘ we have the song “Renewal”, starting off with very danceable black and roll slowly turning into that blackened sludge that defines their music, and back to the black metal until the tempo starts to slow down showing some dark death doom.

And, “Ash of the Ancients” has a faster beginning and is more black metal focused, again displaying the different growling ranges, and going back again to making BM something you want to swirl and twirl to. Witchden makes a great combination of different ramifications of black metal while pulling some heavy sludge-like grooves, and thick atmospheres.

A serious but fun listen. And it comes with visual art!
