Today the network is excited to premiere the debut album of Drang, named De Doorbraak (English: The Breakthrough), a dark gem of furious and urgent black metal rooted in anarchist rage. The leftist/antifascist Dutch scene has already proven extremely prolific, but few wear their leftist colours as straightforward and proud as Drang, and unlike many of their peers who prefer a more experimental approach De Doorbraak is primarily influenced by the 2nd gen black metal vitriolic riffing and subtle melodies of the 90s, and they do it beautifully. This is an album that comes out swinging and takes no prisoners, musically and politically both, and let’s face it, this is a much needed attitude in such desperate times. We won’t bore you with long descriptions, today you can hear the venom yourselves. Let the fires burn.
