We’re glad to host again Ammonoid, the doom/progressive metal metal band from the US that was part of a previous feature in our now inactive “Antifascist Steel” channel (yes, we now upload music from heavy/trad/etc bands in our main channel if you didn’t know, heavy metal bands contact us!). Ammonoid have certainly progressed since 2022’s “Pierce the Veil” demo. This is a new 13 minute long composition that shows an increased psychedelic influence in Ammonoid’s sound and deals thematically with the dangers of authoritarianism. 70’s trippy vibes are definitely heard in this adventurous track and maybe the latest albums of Psychotic Waltz could serve as a reference. Another interesting track from Ammonoid and hopefully we will be hearing a full-length recording soon!
