Review
Fuck yeah Ulltisol! The Canadian entheogenic cultists have become a staple here at the Network and we can’t help but smile every time we get a new release from them, and for good reason since they never fail to bring something to the table. ‘Deepest Earth of Numinous Dead’ is no exception, summoning forth fungal metal(?) to further the cause of our antifascist myconid colony, this time with high botanical (wink wink) tremolos, tribal synths and what we can only describe as a hint of blackened 60s psychedelic pop added to their ever expanding recipe of black-ish metal. Ok, granted, they may not be everyone’s cup of herbal tea, but you know what, we love them all the more for it, cause they are something far rarer in todays atmospheric metal soundscape: unique. Also they sound really cool, so that helps too.
